1. You will be given a pain medication for 48 hours.

2. You are not to touch the tape around your mouth.

3. For severe itching, you will be given a medication.

4. Stay on a liquid diet through a straw for 2 days until the tape is removed.

5. You will need to come in 2 days after your surgery. At this time, the tape will be removed. Thymol Iodide powder will be placed on the wound and for the next 72 hours by yourself.

6. Your diet can be increased after the tape is removed.

7. Approximately the 5th day, you are to use a bland cold cream plus Neosporin ointment to the wound.

8. New pink skin will appear and this is to be kept moist by a moisturizing cream.

9. You will be seen on the 7th day and then have an appointment 2 weeks thereafter.

10. You are not to use any cosmetics on your skin until directed by Dr. Wahl.
